‘Cats can work out mathematically the exact place to sit that will cause the most inconvenience’
Our purry, furry feline friends are indeed geniuses. Behind eyes that never give anything away is a mind that is probably thinking:
‘Human faces make the most comfortable beds’
‘It’s a long way to the top – that’s why humans invented curtains!’
‘Acting like a diva is expected’
Right from the start with LifeCare
Once you’ve found your perfect match, you’ll want to hold onto him/her for as long as possible – and that’s where we come in. Simply put, we are dedicated to helping your pet achieve a long, happy and healthy life. Our wellness and preventative care program, LifeCare, is specifically designed to ensure your pet receives the right type of care, with the right products, at the right time. Bring in your little bundle of joy for a comprehensive health check, discussion about kitten do’s/don’ts, and a complimentary deluxe kitten pack.
Here’s a sneak peek:
You are what you eat (and, surprise, so is your pet). Kittens require a specific nutritional formulation for this important developmental stage. A complete and balanced diet with premium-quality ingredients, such as that found in the Hills Science Diet VetEssentials range, contains all the necessary nutrients to meet the needs of growing bodies. No mess, no fuss, no unpleasant back-end revelations.
And remember: no bones (raw or cooked) for your pet.
Some diseases, such as feline herpes virus, feline calicivirus and feline panleukopaenia (parvovirus), are contagious and can be fatal even with treatment. They’re far less common these days due to widespread vaccination, but outbreaks still occur. Other conditions like feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) are spread by biting and cats that are allowed outdoors are at particular risk.
Our vaccination schedule allows your pet to strut his/her stuff on the social catwalk from just 13 weeks of age, while being protected from these nasty diseases.
A monthly spot-on application of Advocate® and a tapewormer every six months is all that’s required to protect puss (and you) from intestinal worms and fleas.
Entire (non-desexed) animals are more prone to serious illnesses (such as cancers and uterine infections), roaming, fighting and, of course, producing unwanted kittens. That’s why we recommend that your pet is desexed at about 4 months of age.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle for your pet, complete with routine vaccinations, health checks and parasite prevention, is the first and most important step you can take to minimising problems. However, pet insurance will help cover your pet for those unexpected illnesses and accidents.
Our clinic is one of a select few that offers four weeks of free Petplan pet insurance for new kittens, with immediate cover (instead of the usual 21-day waiting period).
Toilet training, bedding, microchips/identification, behaviour, dental care, shiny tresses, healthy ears – we could go on and on about this stuff. Just try us.
