At Swan Street Vet, we are always evolving to ensure we continue providing the highest standard of care to our much-loved patients. Recently, we’ve had some changes within our team that we’d love to share with you.

Firstly, we would like to let our clients know that our wonderful Head Veterinarian, Dr Rebecca Falconer, will be leaving us in the coming weeks. Rebecca has been an integral part of our clinic, and while we are very sad to see her go, we are incredibly supportive of her decision to pursue a new opportunity that will further expand her skills and professional growth. This was not an easy decision for her, as she has truly valued her time at Swan Street Vet and will greatly miss both the team and the relationships she has built with clients and their pets. We thank Rebecca for her dedication and wish her all the very best in this exciting next chapter.

In more positive news, we are thrilled to be welcoming three new team members to Swan Street Vet.

Kaye has recently joined our nursing team, bringing with her a unique and impressive background in conservation, ecology, and animal welfare. After years working in research and environmental science, Kaye made the transition into veterinary nursing, completing her Certificate IV and gaining hands-on experience across several Melbourne clinics. She has a strong skillset in patient care, surgical support, and client communication, and a genuine passion for animal wellbeing that shines through in everything she does.

We also welcomed Dr Rory to the team earlier this year. Originally from Scotland, Rory moved to Melbourne towards the end of last year and joined us full-time in January. He is an experienced small animal veterinarian with a strong background in both routine and emergency care. Rory has a particular interest in medical case management, diagnostic imaging, and surgery, and is known for his thoughtful approach and excellent communication with clients. He is passionate about continuing to grow his clinical skills while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Many of you may recognise another familiar face returning to the clinic — Dr Tien Le. Tien previously worked with us from 2019 to 2021 and has since spent time teaching and sharing his knowledge with future veterinary professionals. We are delighted to have him back at Swan Street Vet, where he will be supporting the team on a casual basis several days a week. Tien brings a wealth of experience, a strong academic background, and a calm, considered approach to patient care that we know our clients and patients will benefit from.

We are incredibly excited about these positive changes and feel confident that our growing and diverse team will continue to provide exceptional care for your pets.
